Sea of Solitude follows the story of a lonley girl called Kay who wakes up one day as a monster trapped in a sunken city. ![]() She awakens on a boat in unfamiliar waters, surrounded by darkness. But stories need suspension of disbelief. In Sea of Solitude, you play as Kay, a girl whose loneliness and internal struggles have turned her into a monster. I have nothing personally against the lady who did it - she is playing the role with passion and most certainly wayyy better than I could have pulled it off, and since she is one of the people who helped make the game, it may be a very personal project to her, too. Whenever she speaks, I notice she's doing so in a foreign-to-her language while trying unsuccessfully not to sound that way. I'm German myself, and the voice acting takes me out of the story. I will assume in return that since you liked the voice acting, it bothers you that others see it differently. then perhaps you have a mental problem that needs to be addressed (which is amazingly funny considering the game this is) Those are quite some big assumptions about the people disliking the voice acting. I adored traveling through Sea of Solitude’s gorgeous and ever-changing environments and. Sea of Solitude tells the story of a twenty-something woman named, Kay, who wakes up alone on a small rowboat in the middle of a vast, dark, and empty ocean. This demon dog represents her ex-boyfriend. and if for some reason you can't enjoy a game because the VA isn't native to the language being spoken. Guided by your trusty flare, you play as Kay, a young woman who is desperately trying to become human again.
